Cerrig has received £400,000 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Updated: Jun 25

Cerrig Granite & Slate are proud to announce the completion of their £400k investment in new machinery and premises update to make their manufacturing capabilities even better. Undertaken with the help of Business Wales and Gwynedd Council, Cerrig have purchased a new Donatoni saw, an Intermac Master 38.8 stone machining centre and a Montressor Faster edge polisher to complement their existing machinery.

Combined with new scheduling software and new staff, we believe this investment will double the capacity of our production – and the machines are also pretty cool.

This wouldn't have been possible without funding from the Cyngor Gwynedd and the Gwynedd Shared Prosperity Fund.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
